Yes. CatchCon 2027 is designed for grapplers of all levels, from complete beginners to seasoned competitors. The coaching sessions build from fundamentals, so no prior catch wrestling experience is required to take part.
What do I need to bring?
Bring your training gear (rash guards, grappling shorts, and wrestling shoes) and a competitive mindset. Your event t-shirt is provided, and select tiers include an event macebell.
Can I compete without prior catch wrestling experience?
Yes. Tournament participation is open to anyone willing to test themselves, and the coaching sessions prepare you with the fundamentals beforehand. Competition is decided by pinfall or submission only — no points, no stalling.

You can earn two professional certifications — Catch Wrestling Coaching and Macebell Trainer. Both are credentials you keep and can use to add credibility to your coaching resume and open coaching opportunities.
