Get In Before the Masses "Catch" on!!!
Hey guys,
Tomorrow is my 37th birthday and I wanted to share my gratitude with all of you that have supported and followed the rise of Scientific Wrestling over the past seven years.
We've gone from humbly republishing the original manuscripts of long lost catch-as-catch-can tomes to becoming the worldwide leader (and better business bureau, of sorts) for those interested in top-notch education in authentic Catch-As-Catch-Can wrestling. We couldn't have done it without your belief in our vision or without the blessings of the old-timers and MMA legends that have pushed us, and Catch-As-Catch-Can back into respectability.

Speaking of MMA legends, check out longtime Catch-As-Catch-Can man Josh Barnett's latest dominating fight here:
(Looks like Geronimo may have needed Tres or Cuatro Santos in this fight...)
It has been great to see the "blogosphere" pulsing with genuine interest and respect for real catch-as-catch-can! Check out this great video from the guys at DamageControlMMA.com:
And then their great article on the upcoming fight between James Toney and Randy Couture:
Couture vs Toney UFC 118
Here's another great blog by MMA journalist Ted Czech:
How to beat Anderson Silva? Two words: catch wrestling
For years, we've worked hard to get MMA wrestlers to start wrestling again! Check out Randy Couture and Neil Melanson suggesting the use of the cradle in MMA to Chael Sonnen below:
We've been trying to turn people onto the
King of Pinners Wade Schalles for a very long time and it seems that people might just begin to see that the good old fashioned cradle is an EXCELLENT counter to the BJJ "guard".

Also, this coming July 28th marks the third year since the passing of my good friend Karl Gotch. I can honestly say, without Karl and his integrity and drive to see REAL wrestling again, we would not have Mixed Martial Arts as we know it today.
I know this economy is awful right now and we sincerely appreciate all the support you have all given to keep authentic Catch-As-Catch-Can alive!! Your purchases of either DVDs,
memberships, or attendance at certifications/seminars ensures that we can continue to provide quality education. Thank you again, the future of real COMPETITIVE Catch-As-Catch-Can looks bright indeed!!
Ps. With the growing emergence of widespread, competitive, proven Catch-As-Catch-Can there are some pretty cool new shirts and shorts out there!
Check out the AWESOME stuff put out by the proprietor of the New Jersey Toe-Hold Club, John Potenza. His Modern Gladiator Fight Wear (check these cool new fight shorts!) has some really cool gear (you may have seen his stuff worn by Billy Robinson and Brock Lesnar)
Also, Shane Cline from American Grappler Authentic has created some very cool shirts so that you can show off your Catch-As-Catch-Can pride. Check them out!
