Scientific Wrestling Approaches Critical Mass!

1) The New Recruits - Scientific Wrestling Army Grows at Cert. Camp 2011 San Diego We just had a STELLAR Cert. Camp in San Diego last weekend. Congrats to everyone who dumped their ego and put in the hard work to learn in earnest. EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION FOR THE NEXT CAMP CLOSES SHORTLY. REGISTER NOW AND SAVE HUNDREDS $$$. We are stoked to have a program that serves both those new to the combat sports, and vets of the cage and the mat. MMA badass Shayna "QUEEN OF SPADES" Baszler was in attendance: Since 2006 only a select few have earned the right to be an assistant coach. Today we extend our biggest congratulations to our 5th (and our 1st asst. coach in the UK), Alex Cook (on the right)!

2) Brandon Ruiz wins GOLD at FILA's World Grappling Games Check out this great article about Brandon Ruiz and his big win at the FILA World Grappling Games in our local Salt Lake City newspaper. For those who are new to Scientific Wrestling, Brandon is a huge supporter of ours and has attended our Cert. Camps in the past! Check out this awesome blog post of Brandon's from the 2010 Pancrase World Championships where he used a good old CACC shinlock on his path to winning his division!

3) The Scientific Wrestling UK Tour 2011 Our trip to the UK was simply amazing. Our host Andy Crittenden was a true gentleman and we met SO many great people that were sincerely interested in learning CACC from inarguably the GREATEST CACC coach of the modern era, Billy Robinson. We are doing everything possible to get people some real time clocked learning and modeling Billy's methods. We are very much looking forward to heading back in mid-2012!

4) The Dao of Catch Wrestling article Enjoy this cool blog article titled The Dao of Catch Wrestling by Raul Ramirez, L.Ac., PhD (and Level 2 Certified Catch Wrestler).

5) Catch As Catch Can best single style for winning MMA according to Sherdog Sherdog crunched the numbers and CATCH-AS-CATCH-CAN is the best single style to learn to win in MMA. (H/T to KJ Gould)

6) Billy's new book already getting attention! Off the strength of my best-selling book 'Say Uncle' for ECW Press, it looks like people are already getting excited about Billy's forthcoming autobiography (which I am ghost writing). You can read an article about it here.

7) Catch Wrestlers place in EVERY single list in 'TOP 5 SUBMISSION ARTISTS' Check this article out (and note the repeat mentions for CACC/MMA greats Barnett and Sakuraba).
