1) Our first major site update in a decade!! Soooooo excited for the ScientificWrestling.com rebrand relaunch! Our flagship site design hasn't fundamentally changed since 2005 (a decade already, wow!),. We aim to make our DVDs available streaming and continue to give huge discounts on DVDs & live trainings for members, plus we are adding tons of free content for non-members while still offering the very best to fans of catch wrestling of all stripes. Thank you for your support of our efforts to grow the sport of catch-as-catch-can wrestling over the years, we are really beginning to make a difference! As a celebration, here is a lengthy article I've recently wrote detailing the wild journey of strangles in the sport of catch-as-catch-can. Enjoy!

2) Josh Barnett joins the Scientific Wrestling Training Camp team! Very excited to announce the addition of Josh "WARMASTER" Barnett to the Scientific Wrestling Training Camp team! We have the very best in pinning with Head Coach Wade Schalles and now with MMA legend Josh Barnett we have the very best in catch wrestling submission coaching! (Note: Due to Josh's training schedule we have not announced any submission training camps with him yet.) Stay tuned...! Somewhere our Coach Billy Robinson is grinning... Enjoy this heartfelt, lengthy, recent Josh Barnett interview on Eddie Goldman's NO HOLDS BARRED podcast! **A MUST LISTEN** Meanwhile, Josh is hosting another day of Catch-as-Catch-can Wrestling technique and wrestling matches. The seminar portion will be 2 hours then after a lunch break we will referee matches for anyone wanting to get out there and wrestle! When: Saturday, February 14th Location: CSW Headquarters 4080 N. Palm Ave Fullerton CA 98235 Cost: $50 ($40 to CSW students) cash or credit The seminar starts at 11am to 1pm. Catch Wrestling starts at 2pm until finished

3) King of Catch Wrestling American Heavyweight Champion Luis Ojeda on Catch Wrestling, Challenges, and Schwingen with Eddie Goldman. Congratulations to Coach Ojeda's athlete Roberto Ala Torre for bringing home the gold medal from Holtville. Roberto is one of Ojeda's team captains from San Ysidro High School. He won via "funk style" Ben Askren cradle! Here is Luis Ojeda's recent interview with Eddie Goldman: King of Catch Wrestling American Heavyweight Champion Luis Ojeda on Catch Wrestling, Challenges, and Schwingen Wade and I are excited to do our next Scientific Wrestling Training Camp this weekend at Luis' gym in San Diego. It promises to be amazing with not only Wade Schalles and myself in attendence but asst. coaches Sam Kressin, Jesse Marez and Luis Ojeda too. Plus, pro-MMA fighters Shayna Baszler, Colleen Schneider (both past camp attendees) and Jessamyn Duke will be there at camp, sharpening the saw, too!

4) Two of the top competitive catch wrestlers out there.
My good buddy Joel Bane (SnakePitUSA.com) wrestling my close friend (and old gym partner) Brandon Ruiz showing gameness AND sportsmanship at the latest FILA world team trials! So proud that both of these beasts are multiple Scientific Wrestling Training Camp attendees and both are true leaders in our grassroots catch wrestling revolution!! *thanks to Brandon Ruiz for sharing his photos from the event.
