Competition CACC: PROVING IT...!
My vision for Scientific Wrestling has always been to bring the legitimacy back to Catch-As-Catch-Can by learning the REAL deal and proving it's efficacy in competition. No BS claims or cheesy internet marketing hype, just PROOF (this is why I chose the word "scientific" to describe what we do).
It has happened on the big stage (with the likes of Billy Robinson proteges Kazushi Sakuraba and Josh Barnett) and now it has effectively happened at ALL levels of the game!
I've recently shared with you the success of the Quebec Toe Hold Club and the New Jersey Toe-Hold Club (you can simply scroll down and read past blog entries if you don't know about their successes). But here is some more news that the main-stream MMA press may not report upon:
1) Sakuraba's R1 Win!
In terms of accomplishments, longevity, and fighting spirit Sakuraba is truly a legend. Here's his latest fight:
2) Catch-As-Catch-Can Dominates at both the Grappling X Tournament and at the USA Wrestling National Championships!
At the Grappling X Tournament in Southern California this weekend both Josh Barnett and the Inland Empire Toe-Hold Club took top honors!
Josh sent me this text message:
"Just finished grappling for the day. Won my div and open. Heel hook, double wrist lock, bye, cross side choke, front face lock. Most matches about :40. Hot two Suplexes. Belly to belly and front neck lock."
The Inland Empire Toe-Hold Club walked away with 3 Golds and 2 Silvers!!
On top of that, The Queen of Spades Shayna Baszler won to become USA Wrestling Grappling National Champion!
3) Scientific Wrestling Certifications
Our next certification promises to be our best ever, if you've ever wanted to start you own Toe-Hold Club, NOW IS THE TIME!! Don't take it from me, take it from the man himself:
Spaces are filling fast for the January audits (not some stupid marketing gimmick, it's a fact). Read more about it at http://www.CertifiedCatchWrestler.com.
