This book is very well put together and the content is superb! This is the first book or material that I've seen that is geared towards nutrition for grapplers and covers the subject as extensively as this does. John & Mike have really put lots of effort and research into this subject and each subject/Chapter is very in depth with quality information!

I will go over the sections very briefly so that you can get a feel for them. First they let you know about basic nutrition so that you will have a better handle on putting things together as you get further into the book. They tell you about "The 10 Habits" which are important nutrition rules that everyone who cares about their nutrition should follow. This section is very thorough and a must know for those who want to take nutrition seriously! "Superfoods" are mentioned which are the top 20 foods that should be included in every athletes diet. This is a valuable section as it gives you a nice layout to build from. "Competition Nutrition" is another thorough section that covers pre and post workout nutrition as well as competition nutrition. Grapplers and athletes of all sports will get tons from this section of the book. "Supplements Strategies" will give you a game plan for taking supplements, what to take and not to, etc. They offer you a top 5 list of what they feel are valuable supplements to include in your daily diet. "Sample Menus" is a section I like a lot as it lays out some real nice menus for you, sort of takes the brain work right out of it for us busy people, it even includes a nice "Superfoods" checklist. The next two Chapters are "Weight Management" & "Weight Cutting". These two sections are worth the price alone and then some. There are so many people out there cutting weight the "wrong" way and risking their health. These sections will help you learn how to control and cut your weight for competitions and daily living in a very safe and effective manner. Extremely valuable material I these two sections!!!

All in all this is a fantastic book on nutrition specific to but not limited to grapplers! I learned a lot from this material and can only highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn more about nutrition as it relates to their chosen sport of grappling!!!
