3) Mike Martelle's Catch-As-Catch-Can Tournament results "here are the results from our biennial Catch Wrestling tournament, Let's Shoot, held March 28, 2010 in Kingston, Canada. This year, the event was held under modified "Scots Style" rules, a.k.a. Donald Dinnie's "Catch-As-Can-Catch"; this obscure variation requires competitors to begin in a traditional Scottish Backhold position, but is otherwise identical to the Catch Wrestling we all know and love. We utilized no time limit or points system - all matches were won by pinfall or submission. The event was recognized by The Scottish Wrestling Bond, and sanctioned as an International Championship. Read the results of the first ever Macebell Sport Tournament hosted by Kevin Wikse here: INAUGURAL MACEBELL SPORT TOURNAMENT RESULTS Also read this great email that Greg Walsh just sent: "hi jake! hope things are going well. our gym out here in NY is going great, and shows no signs of slowing down. one of my guys got his 100 360's this week, and we taped it. i'm hoping i can send it to you and get him listed as a mauler on the site. he's quite a story- 42 year old guy, fell off a ladder at a job site in his mid 30's, doctors said he'd probably never be physical again. now, swinging the mace 100 times. so impressive to me! also- i've been having great luck correcting the common flaws of the squat using the mace held upright at different distances from the body. i filmed a short video of the progress of a girl with severe hip & ankle injuries i train, and it's great! i'll pass it on when it's done, and it will be on the wolf brigade site as well. thanks again for the introduction to the mace's. truly my favorite tool in the whole toolbox. greg"
