Be sure to check out the preview clip below for the KILLER CRADLES: Terminal Takedowns PRE-SALE starring Wade Schalles!
Meanwhile, it has been another AMAZING year for Scientific Wrestling that saw us get the very first national Catch Wrestling competition circuit off the ground with King of Catch Wrestling! Thanks to everyone that helped AND participated (especially Shoothook, Catch Canada, and The Training Mat). We are currently looking to get the regional champs together for the first North American Catch Wrestling championships in nearly a century!
2008 also saw the launch the wildly successful Macebell as well! We are very happy to spearhead the development of this for Torque Athletic.
2008 also witnessed our first batch of authenticCertified Catch Wrestlers under Dick Cardinal. One of them, Jesse Kristofferson, won the middleweight King of Catch Wrestling Western Qualifier too!
It also saw us make the teachings of Josh Barnett and Billy Robinson available to the world at large!
We also launched UWF-Bushido.com to share all of the amazing Shoot-style wrestling matches of the UWFi. It is amazing to see pre-UFC and pre-Pride fighters like Sakuraba, Kiyoshi Tamura, Dan Severn, Nobuhiko Takada and more. What is even better is to see Professional Wrestlers Billy Robinson, Nick Bockwinkle, The Iron Sheik, and Bad News Allen in shoot wrestling matches!
Unfortunately we've suffered a huge loss with the passing of my friend Karl Gotch. I owe so much to him and will always do my very best to honor his memory as he wished. All profits from the sale of his Conditioning for Combat Sports Deluxe 2-DVD set will continue to go Pitbull Terrier rescue.
Karl was truly one of the great men I've met. He was like a hero from an Ayn Rand come to life; ruthlessly honest, kind, and powerful except he also had a really great sense of humor and great command of history. Without him, I cannot imagine bringing the Macebell to market like I have or The Sport of Catch Wrestling: The Certified Catch Wrestler Handbook receiving the acclaim without his input or advice. I am also pretty sure if it weren't for Karl I wouldn't be involved with CrossFit Beach Cities either.
I was sad to lose a friend but I was so proud to call a truly honest man that lived life entirely on his terms my good friend.
This year also saw another man I look up to, Yoshiaki Fujiwara, battle cancer. As a cancer survivor myself I know what this sort of thing can entail and my wishes are with him to make a speedy and full recovery in 2008. I will be sending a "GET WELL" package to Japan in 2 weeks. Anyone that wants to include a get well card to Mr. Fujiwara, please send them right away to:

2008 looks stellar already with us expanding by offering exclusive material from KILLER CRADLES: Terminal Takedowns (on cradles), Josh Barnett (on rides), and Erik Paulson (on neck cranks).
We will also be hosting the King of Catch Wrestling Championships, opening our Scientific Wrestling Academy, hosting more seminars, and we've also launched our new media production company Rough Cut Productions to helm our new Joe Decker ultra-fitness project, GUT CHECK FITNESS. Also be sure to become a part of Pin-Up ProWrestling, 2008 promises to be HUGE year for this property! >;^)~

We will be celebrating the grand opening of our San Juan Capistrano studio first with a free "Toe-Hold Set-Ups and Entries" clinic to the first 10 that sign up (send me an email to RSVP. First come, first served) then with a catered party afterwards! We will be giving away DVDs, T-Shirts, and Scientific Wrestling books! The Toe-Hold clinic starts at 3pm and the party starts at 6pm.
We've really proven ourselves to be the premier Catch Wrestling training center on the planet. We are the only organization to host such legends as Yoshiaki Fujiwara, Dick Cardinal, Mark Schultz, and Wade Schalles. Next we are thinking of hosting Minoru Suzuki for a clinic in 2008 (FYI: while he always told me that Fujiwara was his best student, Karl often told me that Suzuki had the most "guts" and was the one of the best wrestlers that he's ever trained). Email me at [email protected] if you might be interested. I am not sure about the date or the price, those will depend on how many people email me saying they are interested.
